B: A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind
You’d be surprised by how many pairings I consider without prompting. Shipper through and through and all that. Like I’m actually having trouble coming up with an answer to this question—I have a handful of rare ships but they line up with my personal interests more than with anybody else’s I know. But, no, I know there are ships other people have made me ship, so. There’s Jaime/Sansa. I blame tumblr for that. I normally would have come up with that sort of thing on my own because most attractive people, age difference, I watch Game of Thrones wrong (I try not to think about it too much or get too invested, it’s a self-preservation thing) but the thing about that universe is age differences are widespread so it doesn’t really ping me on that level. Or I didn’t think it would until I started seeing gifs on tumblr and Jordan and Emma wrote it.
I hadn’t really thought about Pepper/Natasha until I read one of gyzym’s fics where they’re a background pairing, which is baffling because how but I love them now. Wish there were tons more fic for them. I don’t think I’d thought of Steve/Darcy until I read it, either. I’m not entirely sure if I had Dan/Natalie feelings while watching Sports Night before I realized that was Jess’s pet pairing for the show, but either way I was already shipping it halfway through S1. Definitely Jess’s fault I ever wrote (and loved) David Cook/Carrie Underwood, though.
D: A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t
SO MANY. I wish Bonnie/Caroline pinged something in me. It just doesn’t. I wish I liked ANY of the canon pairings for Spencer Hastings, because it is a sad existence shipping your favorite character only with her sister who is a recurring character at that. I can’t seem to muster much interest for Zoe/Wade on Hart of Dixie, but I’m okay with that. Or Emma/Regina, which—you’d think I’d be all over that, I’d think that, maybe, but it doesn’t appeal to me half as much as most other f/f ships on that show. It would also be nice to ship Alicia/Kalinda more than I do.
J: Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over tumblr
Tumblr’s helped get me into a number of fandoms, but the one where I can put 100% of the blame for me watching it on tumblr is Better Off Ted. I didn’t exactly see it ALL OVER tumblr, but I saw a couple of photosets and I was looking for a sitcom to marathon at the time, and so I went with that one. And I am honestly so, so glad I did because it was one of, if not my favorite TV discovery I made last year. It’s such a lovely, funny, absurd show, and it lines up with a branch of my sense of humor that I wasn’t all that aware I had. So great.
